Two Treatments that Prompt Skin Rejuvenation

When I talk with women about what their skin care goals are, most talk about how they just want a little something done to get rid of the wrinkles over here, restore some facial volume there, and brighten up their skin tone. They also mention how they’re not yet ready to undergo any serious procedures to get results.

Facelifts, harsh chemical peels, and tons of fillers are just not what they’re looking for. In these cases, there are always two treatments that I recommend: PRP therapy and micro needling! The great thing about these two treatments is that they are both non-invasive and non-surgical but offer tons of great benefits by addressing so many different skin issues.

The Magic of Microneedling

When I explain microneedling to most people, I often get strange looks in return! After all, using needling to improve your skin? How can that work? But microneedling is an efficient treatment that actually prompts your body to heal itself. Microneedling works by using a pen-like device that contains many fine needles. When this pen is moved over your skin, it will leave behind holes so small that you won’t even be able to see them with your naked eye.

The magic of microneedling lies in the fact that your body will see these holes as microtraumas that need healing. Your skin will then be flooded with fresh blood full of healing white blood cells, and your skin will begin producing that all-important collagen!

Microneedling can be used to treat all of the signs of aging. That means it can help erase those lines and wrinkles that have shown up on your forehead, around your mouth, and around your nose. Microneedling also can help puff up those cheeks of yours that have gone sunken. And if you’ve been living with terrible acne scars from breakouts that occurred years ago, microneedling can help minimize those, too!

The Magic of PRP Therapy

Here’s another treatment that can get me some weird looks, too: PRP therapy! People wonder how your own blood can heal and revitalize your skin, but it really can. As it turns out, your blood is one of the most powerful healing elements in the world. Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, contains white blood cells, stem cells, and very powerful proteins called growth factors.

For the PRP procedure, you will only have to go through a routine blood draw. After that, your blood will be separated out with a centrifuge, and a serum of your platelet-rich plasma will then be injected back into your skin.

PRP therapy prompts your skin to heal itself as well helping it create more collagen and elastin. Like microneedling, PRP therapy can help you with wrinkles, lost facial volume, and uneven skin tone. With just a few injections, your skin will look years younger!

If you’ve been thinking that your skin needs a little help, then I believe that these two treatments could be just what you’re looking for!
