Menopause Fatigue

One of the signs that you might be entering the stage of your life known as menopause is feeling tired more than you normally do during the day. Menopause fatigue is often accompanied by hot flashes or even excessive sweating at night. You might notice vaginal dryness as you enter menopause. You’ll usually experience fatigue soon after your menstrual cycles and fertility end as the fatigue often levels out after a few months. Your body is trying to adjust to all of the changes that are taking place at one time. Fortunately, there are a few ways that you can boost your energy levels so that you feel as normal as possible during the day.

How to Fight Menopause Fatigue?

1. Diffuser Scents

When you reach about 40 years old, you might begin to think does menopause make you tired if you seem to not have any energy during the day to do the things that you used to do, such as cleaning or taking care of your family. Essential oils can be used in a diffuser to enhance your mood and energy levels. Some of the most beneficial oils that you can use include peppermint, wintergreen, and orange. Any kind of citrus scent can enhance your energy levels as they provide a delightful aroma and mood-enhancing quality.

2. Exercise

Although you might not feel like exercising very much, you’ll find that if you can move around during the day that you’ll have a bit more energy. When your blood flows through your body, it reaches your lungs and the other important organs that need oxygen in order to function properly. Regular exercise can help with maintaining your weight or losing weight, which can sometimes help with hot flashes as well. Try to do something that you’ll enjoy, such as walking around your neighborhood or joining a fitness class so that you have other people to talk to during the day.

3. Sleep Schedule

Try to get your sleep schedule regulated. If you’re able to get at least six hours of sleep each night, then you’ll usually find that you have a bit more energy during the day. If you exercise and try to do some of the normal activities that you do, then you’ll likely be able to get to sleep a bit easier at night. Consider taking a relaxing bath with lavender essential oils to try to calm your mind and body before going to bed.

4. Comfortable Environment

Make the room you sleep in as comfortable as possible. If you’re going through menopause, then you might experience more hot flashes at night. Turn the thermostat down a few degrees before going to bed so that you won’t get overheated by the temperature in your home. You can also try sleeping under fewer blankets.
